A Persian Paradise
Tehran may take some getting used to, but it provides an interesting perspective on its place in the world. Located in the heart of the Middle East, the land we now know as Iran was once the center of the great and powerful Persian empire. Artifacts of this great age can be seen in Tehran at Iran's National Museum, or check out one of the world's most impressive collection of jewelry at the National Jewels Treasury. The Azadi Tower is a must-see as well. The views of the country's leader aside, Iran is a unique and intriguing destination.
